Martina Gyokery

Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Pilates Instructor, Holistic Life Coach, Chakra Crystal Healing

Martina came to Canada in 1990 as an immigrant from former Czechoslovakia to start her new life. Her background in Physical Education and Science, her deep interest in competitive sports (track and field, triathlon, and duathlon World Champion finisher in Italy 1996 and Germany 1998) and her profound passion for healthy living has prepared her well for career in Massage Therapy and Wellness. She graduated from Sutherland-Chan Teaching Clinic in Toronto in 1994.

Her dream to work with Olympic athletes came true when she joined the figure skating tour Stars on Ice as a trainer/therapist in 1995 in Lake Placid. She said goodbye to the tour in 1999 while pregnant with her first son. Martina was part of the team (family) and travelled to 65 cities in the United States as well as Canada, working with such celebrities as Kurt Browning, Scott Hamilton, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Kristi Yamaguchi, Katarina Witt, and many others Olympic medallists.

Her personal interest in methods to alleviate body pain has inspired her to extend her knowledge and training to offer a wide range of healing modalities, such as Cranio-Somatic Therapy, Ultrasound, Active Isolated Stretching, Reflexology, Hot Stone Massage, Pregnancy Massage, Indie Head Massage, and Energy Work.

Martina opened Vitality Centre Milton in 2004. The centre became home to many great practitioners in Massage Therapy, Naturopathic Medicine, Shiatsu, Acupuncture, as well as Yoga and Pilates. Vitality Centre helped many families from Milton and the Halton Region to find balance through alternative therapies. Many of the team members are still practising in nearby cities or their own practices.

After 11 years of healing, Yoga, Pilates, and more, Martina decided to close the doors at Vitality Centre to pursue new healing modalities. Her passion in Cranial-Somatic Therapy and Energy Work opened the door to start a new chapter in her life and work. Her own struggle brought her to learn about Crystal Healing Therapy (based on the teaching of John of God in Brazil), and she now has permission to help others with this fantastic tool, as energy is the medicine of the future.

Martina lives her personal philosophy of physical soundness with a regimen of daily yoga, meditation, walking, and a desire to inspire mindfulness and personal growth to a state of healthy wellness. She welcomes all of you and hopes to work with you soon!

“It is okay to be at the place of struggle. Struggle is just another word for growth. Even the most evolved beings find themselves in a place of struggle now and then. In fact, struggle is a sure sign to them that they are expanding; it is their indication of real and important progress. The only one who doesn’t struggle is the one who doesn’t grow. So if you are struggling right now, see it as terrific sign—celebrate your struggle!”
